Hi there do you guys provide the service of respraying of daiwa reels? Recently bought a caldia from you guys and while fighting a fish, accidently grazed lightly against the railings...so kinda heart pain now.. =( If possible you guys have this service how much will it cost and what colors do you all have thanks!

Hi! wiremesh,
I felt your anguish over your precious grazed caldia, allowed me to answer your question,1st TWU does not have a respray service for
reel,as the original reel goes thru a high technology method of spraying and finishing of your reel. Thus a hand spray will not be equivalent.
The alternative I could think of a possibility is that you
might wish to consider replacing the grazed parts only, you can check your
schemetic diagram for parts number and drop a post to TWU just to check
for availability else you might need to order them.
Final solution I could think of is if your grazes reel is not deeply etched & only very lightly on the surface, you can check out some
car work shop that does respraying of car body. They have a special compound to reverse the damage and it can be done by a well trained
hand, but do note this is only for light surface scratches. As a note of
caution this is strictly at your own risk.

hhmm okie thanks! I might wanna try that see how...most likely i will replace the part...but i doubt my part can be replace as it only affects the main...reel (front part under the 3 dots) and also the coner of the side plate (the chromed side plate) =(
Eh i guess if i'm not wrong theres this new car technology on the new BMWs read it in some magazine that they have scratchproof paint. Whereby people will use their keys and scratch as hard as possible and not a single speck of paint drops off. Perhaps daiwa might wanna look into that. It will be great for avid anglers like everyone else and me...to go fishing and know that your reel is almost indestructable to scratching! :) I dun mind paying tt extra buck too!
Anyhow thanks for your reply!
