SHOIK is the word to say it all.. haha.. looking forward to my 1 day pekan trip nx mth... heard there are macks ard... how to prevent my jigs from becoming their home gifts?? the assit hooks must be those with steel type.. must i have leader tracer ard 1ft?

Hi storm,

My friends use single strend wire and that does the trick. Multiple strends wire trace is not encouraged as somehow the mack seems to be able to see them and shy away from them.

For me, I went without the wire trace and caught macks before but get ready to lost your jigs when you are going to go without wire.

Somehow, baiting with multiple strends wire works but for jigging, the hit rate is lower.

From some friends, they will lay their hands NOT on those wires but only on the single. They claim to be more productive with it and they do have results to proof. Without wire... good luck they say.

Wah...well done Storm n Co. First group to jig in Sg waters...good on you guys..swee la...swee.

Jigging in rompin...try not to use wire..hits better..lose lots of jigs also..wahaaa. Use single strand wire better and a short length will do...about 4 inches or so. Copper coloured single strand hor...dun get the silver ones.

Freaking macks eye dame sharp la.. Good luck on your up coming trip hor..:)

very ex er.. one jig plus the hook and split ring.. 10 over dollars even 20+ cannot even feel..bo liao.. haha/.// thats what i am afriad off.. so i think i get the single strand wire.. any ideal how thick or what kind of poundage to use?? 4 " enough... so if correct its some thing like that

Use thin leader line..30lbs can liao. Wire 40lbs single strand copper colour. set up like you list can...use small snap n black colour...no silver snaps hor.

i will bring different sizes.. maninly light jigs, 40-80g class.. some heavier ones till 110g. was told that 60g is best for jigging at pekan.

yeehaa....got my first AJ in the usual Samson grounds. Unfortunately that was the only one amongst the school of sambos. Geez they go very hard......this one went 17kg. Caught on a 350gm jig, Zenaq rod and PE8.

nah not lately but they are starting to school up according to others reports. Im hanging to get out soon when I get the time or when the weather clears up. Been windy lately, otherwise Im at work while its flat and sunny out there.
