Long ago, afther Roybi Fishing Dept sold most reel are make in China. For the Safari 5000 Sliver or Blue color are now all make in China. Hope you were not con by any of so call make in Japan Safari.... do more survey or ask any of the shop for Manufacture proof from Ryobi...

There is no Japan made for Safari 5000 since they sold the company. Blue or Sliver still Made in China...........
